Since the last serious health kick, I have managed to put on nearly all the weight I lost. In re-reading my 2007 health kick diary pages, I decided to give my well-being a new year’s push and get back on track.
This is not, I repeat not, a New Year’s resolution. My New Year’s resolution is to eat more seafood.
But the household is feeling variously sluggish, big-bellied and fluid-retaining, so in January it is back to slow food. Good simple fresh food cooked from scratch. Decent portions, nothing stupid. Plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables. Lots of green and white and herbal teas. Low salt. As little refined sugar and processed food as possible, without getting over-zealous about it.
Lots of barbecuing and salads in the sunshine.
It is going to be fantastic.
I shall report my progress on theses pages so that I feel accountable to somebody!
